On the 26th and 27th of April, Ca.DA Escola marks Dance Day with a programme that includes the pieces taken to the 2024 Adágio - International Dance Meeting, in which students from our school won 14 medals, divided into seven first places, three second places, four third places and the award for Best Choreography.
With this programme, Ca.DA Escola wants to remember Jean-Georges Noverre's vision of "Action Dance", which is intended to be meaningful, not a dance of mere entertainment, but a dance that transmits artistic values, that expresses feelings and emotions , which elevates those who practice it and those who watch, which constitutes a form of communication between the artist and the spectator.
Dance Day, which is celebrated on April 29th, was established in 1982 by UNESCO's International Dance Council, as it was the day of Noverre's birth.
