Celebration programme of the 35th anniversary of Companhia de Dança de Almada

In the year in which we celebrate 35 years since the founding of Companhia de Dança de Almada, we present a special program. Several choreographers who, in some way, have collaborated with the company over the years, contribute to it. In this project, in addition to the usual Ca.DA artistic team, former dancers from the company, students/dancers and an intergenerational group who work at Ca.DA school also participate.

In Ari's mind, each concern has a shape, weight and volume. It is like they are objects, invisible to the world, but overwhelming to those who carry them. Over time, the collection of these restless thoughts becomes a crown, an immense puzzle.

Continuing Mariana Gomes Dias's collaboration with Companhia de Dança de Almada, we are currently logistically supporting her new project of choreographic creation and intervention in the community, as part of our project to support emerging choreographers.
E DEPOIS ERAM DOIS (and then there were two) is a multidisciplinary creative project directed by Mariana Gomes Dias and Francisco Freire, which will result in a performance that explores Intimacy, and reflects on issues associated with it, such as: the relationship of the SELF with body and mind, the relationship between the I and the OTHER, the I with THEM, and the US, and the influence that the environment has on these relationships.
