"Echoes of Your Loss" is a story of release, transformation, and the quiet beauty that remains after goodbye.

This piece follows a journey of connection, where two souls come together in a delicate balance of trust, support, and vulnerability. When the bond is tested and finally breaks, something unexpected begins to grow from the emptiness. What’s left behind is not just silence, but the echo of what once was — the memories, the feelings, the sensations. In the end, a new kind of strength appears, one that shows letting go can be the most powerful act of love.

Alessio Damiani was born in Palermo, Italy, where he also began dancing. At the age of 18, he joined the Agora Coaching Project in Reggio Emilia under the direction of Michele Merola and Enrico Morelli. From 2013, he worked as a freelance dancer in his home country and in Germany. He has been a member of the Hessisches Staatsballett ensemble since the 2017/18 season under the direction of Tim Plegge and now of Bruno Heynderickx. His last creation “Burdens of Being” won the duo prize in Solo/Duo Barnes Crossing, was part of Beta Publica during the Festival Madrid en Dansa 2024, of the 38. International choreographic competition in Hannover and 32rd Quinzena de Dança de Almada. In the summer of the same year it was awarded second prize at the CICBUNY and took part in the TanzBiennale Heidelberg.
