“O fio da Macaquinha” (The little monkey’s thread) talks about the relationship between people: about the threads that connect us and that allow us to feel close to each other. The way certain threads guide us, free us or make us feel safe, but also tie us up, get tangled up and hard to tell apart.
A group of children play in a Courtyard between the buildings of the City, whenever they return from School... This is a special Courtyard: in that place, each of the Children is a different Animal: there is the Giraffe, the Frog, the Dog, the Cat, the Bird ... and the Little Monkey. But one day the Courtyard, the School and the entire City close. And Children are forced to play inside their homes. As they peep through their windows, they discover that there are invisible threads that connect them to each other, and to all those they care about. And that the world is full of those invisible but strong threads, which unite us, even when we are far from those we like.
