The Quinzena de Dança de Almada - International Dance Festival, in partnership with the Festival Uabá of Cape Verde and the ROLLOUT Dance Film Festival of Macau, have joined forces this year to launch a joint program aimed at promoting dance videos and films dedicated to the performative body in the community of Portuguese-speaking countries.
Curated by professionals from each of the three partners, the SARACOTEIO - Screendance programme will feature a selection of works to be presented at festivals in Almada (Portugal), Santiago Island (Cape Verde), and Macau, on the following dates:
- September 21-25, 2026 - Uabá Festival (Santiago Island, Cape Verde)
- September 25 - October 11, 2026 - 34th Quinzena de Dança de Almada - International Dance Festival (Almada, Portugal)
- December 2026 - ROLLOUT Dance Film Festival (Macau)
Authors and/or producers of dance films and videos, natives and/or residents of Portuguese-speaking countries/regions, are invited to submit their work for presentation in this programme.
