2020 season programme
Concept by Jon López and Martxel Rodriguez (Led Silhouette)
Premiered on September 23, 2021, in Teatro Municipal Joaquim Benite, Almada
RGB is the acronym for an additive color system formed by red, blue and green, which is used in reference to monitors and television. This piece seeks to be a kaleidoscopic artistic experience that uses the senses, geometry, movement and plasticity, with great emphasis on the use of light. It will be an immersive walk where, using elements such as fog, light or reflective metals, body and mind are placed in a continuous loop, changing the understanding and perception of what happens on stage. RGB proposes to engage the audience in a way that deeply condenses the experience into a colorful and hypnotic journey. The viewer is invited to be part of this landscape to be seen, to think and consolidate. The work investigates and shares an odyssey of art, in which bodies come together to create a trinity of vigor, futurism and embrace.
"... light and darkness, brightness and obscurity, or if a more general expression is referred, light and its absence, are necessary to the production of colour [...] Colour itself is a degree of darkness." Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
