In a space where silence turns into movement, a body moves forward, believing it is following its own path. However, around it, presences multiply that are nothing more than the voices inhabiting the mind. They are shadows and memories, desires and fears, persistent whispers that shape each step and invisibly draw the outline of the very existence.
Between fragility and resistance, the piece reveals the silent battle between freedom and inner manipulation, questioning to what extent we are authors of our own journey or merely interpreters of the voices that inhabit us.

Catarina Casqueiro and Tiago Coelho have been a contemporary dance duo since 2019, known for their unique and innovative approach. In recent years, they have presented their creations at various festivals, both national and international, receiving praise from critics and the public. Their performances include the Almada Dance Fortnight (Lisbon, Portugal), Masdanza (Canary Islands), the International Choreography Competition in Hanover (Germany) and the StrayBirds Dance Platform (Taiwan). In 2021, they were invited by the Almada Dance Company to create the closing show of the Almada Dance Fortnight, where they premiered “Deux Same”. In 2022, they continued to solidify their artistic career, presenting “Matiik” on international stages such as the Jerusalem International Dance Competition (Israel) and the Daejeon New Dance International Festival (South Korea) and SoloDuo where they received an Audience Award. “Matomari No Nai” premiered at the SoloDuo Festival in Cologne (Germany) and has since been performed internationally. The piece was presented at the 31st Quinzena de Dança de Almada (Portugal), at the Linkage International Choreography Competition (Bulgaria), where it won 3rd place and the Audience Award, and at the Straybirds Dance Platform (Taiwan). This creation also won 1st place at the Prospettiva Danza Teatro International Competition in Padua (Italy). Catarina and Tiago also took part in the Teatri Riflessi festival in Sicily, where they won seven prizes, including 1st place, the Audience Prize and the Critic's Prize. Their international tour continued with performances in Sibenik (Croatia) and Mexico City. They recently took part in the 29th edition of the MasDanza Festival (Spain), which granted them an invitation to take part in the Interplay Festival in Turin, scheduled for 2025. In 2024 they received support from the European Fund for Emerging Artists in collaboration with the Companhia de Dança de Almada for the creation of their recent piece "Forget me not", presented at Quinzena de Dança de Almada and at Aerowaves in Sofia (Bulgaria).
